MCP Servers

Browse all MCP servers on BenchGecko

BenchGecko maintains the largest directory of Model Context Protocol servers, tracking 4,923 servers across 13 categories with the proprietary Gecko Rating system.

What is MCP?

The Model Context Protocol enables AI models to interact with external tools, databases, and APIs through a standardized interface. Instead of models being limited to their training data, MCP servers give them the ability to read files, query databases, browse the web, send messages, and interact with virtually any software system.

Gecko Rating

Every MCP server on BenchGecko receives a Gecko Rating based on:

  • GitHub stars -- community adoption signal
  • Freshness -- how recently the repository was updated
  • Metadata completeness -- description, categories, install instructions, license
  • Maintenance activity -- issue response time, release frequency

The rating produces a ladder from Unrated through Bronze, Silver, Gold, to Platinum.
